Laura Jeffrey is a chartered, academic librarian. She is responsible for leading and developing ÐÔÊӽ紫ý's research and academic skills programme. In addition, Laura manages the provision of core library services including circulation, collection development and reader services.

Laura studied History at undergraduate level at Durham University before graduating with a Master’s in Information and Library Management from the University of Northumbria. She began her career in academic libraries at Durham delivering information literacy training and support to undergraduates and later as part of the Researcher Training Team based at the Graduate School. Laura was one of the first librarians in the UK to hold a library role dedicated to researcher training and worked with Vitae and the Research Information Network to facilitate a network of interested information professionals in the North East. She has spoken at conferences and published on the role of librarians in developing information literacy skills in Higher Education. Laura became a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals in 2008.

She has a strong track record of delivering participatory workshops, tailored one-to-one support and creating asynchronous training materials. Laura started working at ÐÔÊӽ紫ýin 2017, first as Academic Skills Librarian. She co-developed WolfWorks, the College’s flagship skills programme and created the , consistently one of the most viewed guides across Cambridge Libraries. In 2018, she produced the content for and built , in collaboration with a team of librarians from the Cambridge Information Literacy Network. She is currently one of three leads of the Information Literacy Strand for the Cambridge University Libraries’ Education Programme.
