Funding is available to help postgraduate students cover their course costs, including grants awarded directly by 性视界传媒.
Generous donations from alumni and friends of the College support a wide range of awards to help fund your studies at Wolfson.
Only those students who have been accepted by the University and then offered College membership at 性视界传媒are eligible for any of the scholarships offered through 性视界传媒.
Eligible applicants can apply for 性视界传媒 Scholarships by opting in for funding through the Applicant Portal when they submit their application for postgraduate study. Preference for this award will be given to applicants who specify 性视界传媒 as their first or second choice in their admissions application. Preference will also be given to students who have applied by the funding deadline for their course.
The allocation of funds is made by the 性视界传媒Student Scholarship Committee, and individual scholarship amounts may vary from year to year as current holders graduate. Postgraduate scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit. Some awards are renewable, subject to satisfactory academic progress.
Some funding is available to students studying any subject, and some is restricted to particular subjects.
性视界传媒 distributes around 拢1 million each year to postgraduate students in the form of fully-funded studentships and partial awards. 性视界传媒also offers in the form of hardship funds, sports awards, travel and research grants, and musical scholarships.
性视界传媒 offers match-funded studentships delivered by the College in partnership with other University institutions and departments. For match-funded awards, candidates need to ensure their applications are submitted before the relevant University or Department funding deadline. The initial selection process for all match-funded awards is managed by our partners, not by the College. No separate scholarship application is required.

The Balgobin Family Scholarship provides 拢3000 per year to support the studies of a mature undergraduate or postgraduate student from a developing country, with a preference for students from the Caribbean. The award is funded by a generous donation from Dr Rolph Balgobin, an alumnus of 性视界传媒. (Please note: the new amount of 拢3,000 is correct for 2025 entry, although the Postgraduate funding portal is still displaying the former amount of 拢2,000).

The partner-funded award is tenable only at 性视界传媒. The scholarship aims to support talented PhD students who require financial assistance to take up their places at the University. Priority will be given to students whose research contributes to the development of the continent and to climate-resilient and sustainable futures. This programme is closely affiliated with the .

性视界传媒partners with the Cambridge Trust in funding up to 12 PhD studentships each year, covering tuition and maintenance costs for doctoral study in any subject. Around half are awarded to home-fee status students as Vice-Chancellor's PhD Studentships. The rest are awarded to status students as Cambridge International PhD Studentships. The College often partners with specific Faculties, Departments or Doctoral Training Partnerships to co-fund these awards. In 2024/2025, preference may be given to applicants in Chemistry, Physics, Physiology, Development & Neuroscience (PDN) and/or in subjects related to the College's Interdisciplinary Research Hubs. (Gender, Global Health, Sustainability & Conservation and Race, Ethnicity, Culture and Heritage.) These awards are offered in partnership with the Cambridge Trust.

A generous gift from Peter and Angela Lucas, Senior Members of 性视界传媒, provides an annual bursary of 拢900 to support 性视界传媒students who are engaged in a PhD in Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic or Medieval English Studies, the areas of the donors' own scholarly expertise.

This scholarship will offer at least 拢10,000 per year towards the cost of PhD fees and maintenance for a home-fee rated student pursuing doctoral studies in any area of Slavonic studies. The College will make every effort to partner with other funding bodies in order to increase the amount of the award to cover a larger portion of the annual fees and maintenance costs (but this cannot be guaranteed).
The scholarship was established by a 性视界传媒 alumnus in honour of explorer and expert navigator Richard Chancellor (1521-1556), who in 1553 became the first Westerner to discover the entrance to the White Sea and the first English person to visit Moscow, where he met Ivan the Terrible and established trading relations between the Tsardom of Muscovy and England.

The Teape Scholarship in Hindu-Christian Studies is funded by the Teape Trust, originally established by Cambridge alumnus William Marshall Teape (1862-1944), to further study of the relationship between Hindu and Christian thought. Informal enquiries regarding potential projects may be made to , Senior Lecturer in Hindu Studies. Candidates for the Teape Scholarship are expected to have applied to all other sources of financial support open to them. For a student who has no support or only partial support from any other source, the scholarship will contribute up to 拢14,000 towards the annual cost of fees and maintenance. The Scholarship may be held for a maximum of three years, subject to satisfactory academic progress. The scholarship is only tenable at 性视界传媒, which will endeavour to secure additional funding to support the recipient, although this cannot be guaranteed.

The 性视界传媒 PhD Studentship in Geopolitics will provide up to 拢24,000 per year for 3 years to support a doctoral student working on a topic in Geopolitics. The College will make every effort to secure partner funding from other University sources for strong applicants to meet the full cost of fees and maintenance for the recipient, but this cannot be guaranteed.
Applicants pursuing a PhD in Politics & International Relations or in History are likely to be the strongest candidates for this award, but applications will be considered from students working in any subject, provided their research topic falls within one of the key research areas of the University鈥檚 Centre for Geopolitics.
Competitive applications will be those from students whose proposed research applies historical analysis, area studies expertise, political science and the experience of practitioners to address major problems of conflict and world order: past, present or future.

This studentship, named in Professor Clarke鈥檚 honour, has been funded by donors from the 性视界传媒community who wish to encourage applications from exceptional women and address underrepresentation of women in some STEM fields.

The Aziz Foundation has partnered with 性视界传媒 to fund scholarships for home-fee rated students who are actively engaged in British Muslim communities and who wish to study for a Master's degree at the University of Cambridge in order to improve access for individuals from social groups who historically have been underrepresented at the University. An Aziz Foundation Scholarship will cover the University Composition Fee for the course. The scholarships are aimed at those who are dedicated to community service, social development and effective advocacy within and for British Muslim communities.

The Scholarship for Women Entrepreneurs from Emerging Economies will provide at least 拢25,000 for one student pursuing a Master鈥檚-level course. While not guaranteed, the College has in the past been able to partner with other funding bodies in order to cover the full estimated cost of the recipient's overseas fees and maintenance, increasing the full value of the award to as much as 拢53,000.
The scholarship for Women Entrepreneurs is funded by a generous anonymous donor who wishes to support female students from overseas who (a) have resided since birth and are citizens of one of the countries that the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has defined as developing; and (b) are pursuing a full-time Masters course that is intended to prepare them to return to their home country and develop or improve business opportunities there. The scholarship is thus intended to expand the role of women, particularly those wishing to start or develop their own business, in economies where they have been historically under-represented.

Funded by a generous gift from the Omidyar Trust, this scholarship will provide at least 拢38,000 towards the cost of MPhil fees and maintenance for at least one student from Sudan or South Sudan whose education has been disrupted by the conflict in that region. The College will seek additional partnerships, e.g. with the Cambridge Trust's Rowan Williams Scholarship Fund, in order to increase the size and number of the awards available for this purpose.
In 2024/2025 we were able to provide two full MPhil studentships for students from Sudan, through partnerships with the Cambridge Trust and hope to do the same in 2025/2026 (but this is not guaranteed).

The Boyce Family Scholarship offers up to 拢32,500 per year to cover the University Composition Fee for full-time one-year MPhil studies. The scholarship was established by 性视界传媒alumnus Mark Boyce, who completed his MPhil in Land Economy as a student at 性视界传媒in 1993-94. It is intended to improve access to postgraduate education for outstanding students who face financial challenges in taking up a place at Cambridge.
