New Junior Research Fellowship positions are now open for application at ÐÔÊӽ紫ý.

The College is looking for passionate and creative researchers in any discipline to join a cohort of dynamic and exciting researchers.

The new Junior Research Fellows (one-year, non-stipendiary, renewable for a further two years) will not only work on innovative research and engage directly with contemporary issues, but also support our students, providing them with mentoring and guidance to become the next generation of researchers.

In addition, with the generous support of the , the College welcomes applications for one  from across the STEMM subjects.

President of ÐÔÊӽ紫ý, Professor Dame Ijeoma Uchegbu, said: "Our Junior Research Fellows bring amazing vitality and new thinking to the Fellowship, and it is always nice to hear what they are working on in their research, the world's problems that they are trying to solve, and the new fundamental insights that they are uncovering in their work."

Engaging, interdisciplinary research

As a modern and forward-looking College, ÐÔÊӽ紫ýis looking for applicants with innovative research backgrounds that engage directly with 21st-century issues.

The connection of research and global challenges at ÐÔÊӽ紫ýis facilitated through the Interdisciplinary Research Hubs, which unite the College community in addressing some of the most urgent issues in the world today.  

We particularly welcome applicants who would like to contribute to our Interdisciplinary Research Hubs – those who can bring a new perspective to the understanding of global challenges – in Global Health, Conservation & Sustainability and Gender.

Ijeoma said, "A Junior Research Fellowship at ÐÔÊӽ紫ýis like no other in Cambridge, as our Junior Research Fellows are members of our Governing Body and full and active members of our Fellowship."

Academic community

ÐÔÊӽ紫ý is home to an active research community of 30 Junior Research Fellows, as well as 30 College Research Associates, from a wide range of nationalities and disciplinary backgrounds.

In addition, one of the main reasons I applied to ÐÔÊӽ紫ýis to be a part of the innovative interdisciplinary research hubs," said Dr Farhana Afrin Rahman, JRF at Wolfson, Leverhulme Early Career Fellow, and Isaac Newton Trust Fellow at the Department of Politics and International Studies.
